Kate is an Atlanta, GA native, though spent just over a decade in Chattanooga, TN before moving to Knoxville a couple of years ago. She fell in love with the mind-body connection in her first yoga class as a college student, about 10 years ago and has fostered a growing interest in the field ever since. Kate has a master's degree in Professional Counseling with a certificate in Trauma Counseling and now works with adoptive children and families, frequently incorporating mind-body practices in her work. Since completing her 200hr teacher training in 2017 at Blue Ridge Yoga, she has taught restorative and slow flow classes at conferences, retreats, camps, and with individuals and families through her work. Kate is passionate about facilitating time and space for people to practice kindness and care for themselves, spilling over into care for those around them, and is thrilled to be a part of the BRY community!
