Debbie's love for yoga began one Saturday morning in 1998, when she walked into a yoga class at the Knoxville YMCA. Her passion for yoga was ignited that day both physically and spiritually. Now, some 20 years later, that passion and thirst for knowledge still burns.

After traveling around the country to seminars and workshops, she soon found studying under Stephanie Keach and Cindy Dollar at Asheville Yoga Center to be the most rewarding in continuing her yoga training and education. She completed her first 200 hour training in 2003 under Stephanie Keach and Cindy Dollar. She was only getting started. She returned to Asheville to complete an additional 500 hours, certifying in children's, prenatal, restorative, senior yoga, and vinyasa yoga. She studied mediation with Erich Schiffman, and yin yoga with Paul Grilley.

Still searching for all the answers yoga holds in 2012, she went back for 500 more hours of therapeutic yoga, studying with Libby Hensley and Angela Farmer. It was then she meet Anna Guest-Jelly and certified as a Curvy Yoga Teacher. In 2017, Debbie studied with Dr. Will Hamilton to teach yoga for chronic illness and pain.

Her enthusiasm is so contagious that her first yoga students are still practicing with her.
Debbie's yoga philosophy is simple: Yoga for Everybody. She creates a space for all shapes and sizes using fun, laughter, and creativity to enhance individual expression of yoga poses.
