Meet your massage therapists...
Lasha Farrar - With over a decade of education and experience in Human Kinetics & Exercise Physiology, Lasha Farrar, Certified Yoga Instructor, fulfilled a bucket list dream of becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2017.
Presently, Lasha is the Wellness Director at Blue Ridge Yoga where she practices massage therapy and bodywork, as well as teaches weekly yoga classes and workshops. She specializes in Therapeutic Deep Tissue, Sports & Performance Massage, Prenatal Massage, Thai on the Table, and Massage for Trauma Healing.
Ms. Farrar has been a grateful instructor of Massage Therapy & Bodywork at Roane State Community College since 2017. She loves sharing the wisdom she has accumulated, yet remains a humble and hopeful student of life. Lasha looks forward to continuing her education in Thai Massage, Esalen, Ayurvedic Medicine, Maori Healing, Canine & Equine Massage, and Energy Healing for Humans and Animals.
She is currently consulting on the research and development of Massage Therapy for Fertility, Pregnancy, Labor and Delivery, and Post-Partum Care.
Lasha is passionate about the Healing Arts and inquiring on the fascinating Mind-Body-Soul connection. Her mission is to empower as many people as possible to explore their authentic rituals for self-care and provide healthy alternatives for stress/pain/disease management. Her one and only intention is to relax your body, so that you can liberate your mind and free your spirit!
Kris Evans - Kris Evans is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor with a great passion for helping people feel well and joyful in their body! Kris received her education in massage therapy at Roane State Community College and has been trained in Swedish massage, myofasical integration structural technique, neuromuscular therapy, and active isolated stretching.
Kris originally found herself being drawn to learning and understanding the body through her yoga practice. Kris experienced first-hand the profound effects of yoga and massage in both her physical well-being and mental & emotional wellness. This began her journey of confidence and enthusiasm for the capabilities of the body. Kris's goal is to use massage and yoga to contribute to her community by inspiring health and vitality to all those who step in to her office. Whether you are an athlete in training or post-event, overcoming injury, dealing with matters of acute or chronic pain, or looking for stress management and relaxation, Kris is grateful to help!
Kris approaches bodywork & massage from a place of full body awareness and intention. She believes the body has the ability to heal itself and that each body must be uniquely cared for. Kris is dedicated to taking the time to meet with you to understand your lifestyle and goals in order to create a massage experience tailored to your needs. Kris's method has been described as both relaxing and invigorating through her use of a combination of gentle Swedish & deep tissue techniques, range of motion, gentle stretches, and an intuitive touch to allow for a personalized experience.
