Where are you from? I was born and raised in Maryville, TN and graduated from William Blount High School before attending MTSU for both my BS in Athletic Training and my MS in Health.
What is your favorite yoga pose? My favorite yoga pose is pigeon, because it is a deep hip opener and stretches all the juicy muscles that can sometimes get neglected. I find it to be a pose that can release a lot of stored stress and tension. Letting go of these kinds of feelings can be very cathartic.
Where is your favorite place that you've traveled to? My favorite place that I have visited is Venice, Italy. It is such a beautiful city with a rich history that is still alive through its architecture. Riding in a gondola in the canals was an amazing experience that I was lucky to enjoy along with feeding the pigeons in the Piazza San Marco. I also loved discovering Italian gelato!
What do you like about working at Blue Ridge Yoga? My favorite thing about Blue Ridge Yoga is that we are all a family. We love and care for each other and extend that love out into the community. Whether it be the all-inclusive environment of the studio or sponsoring a fundraiser for those in need, Blue Ridge Yoga is a place founded on love and acceptance.
What do most people not know about you? Most people do not know that I am an avid reader. I can finish a book in a day, and often utilize my Kindle app on my phone to read any chance I get. While I love and appreciate actual books, particularly the way they smell, there's nothing like accessing and carrying around thousands of books in my pocket!
