Yoga is a complementary practice that is increasingly being used with other substance abuse treatment methods.

Yoga is being used to help prevent relapse, reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, and provide a healthy outlet to cope with triggers and other life stresses. Yoga also helps rebuild pathways in the brain that are altered by drug and alcohol abuse.

Benefits also include stress relief, better sleep, pain relief, increased energy levels, healthier exercise and eating habits, and emotional healing.

Instructor: Ashley is an instructor for Blue Ridge Yoga who has faced her own struggles with addiction. She has been sober for over 6 years.

Date/Time: Sundays, 2pm-3pm - This class will be held from Feb. 18 through Mar. 25. Come to 1, come to all 6, however many you'd like!

Price: Pay What You Can (Suggested Donation - $5 per class)
